 Everybody is a dreamer, and each has a unique dream. We might also have a crazy dream that no one else knows. I remember my crazy dream when I was in high school. I wanted to fly and be free as a bird. I wanted to feel light and think of nothing but flying. However instead of flying, my recent work requires traveling. Every travel I make, I see to it that I have a remembrance of the place so I never leave my precious Fuji S5600. I preserve each prescious moment by printing the photos. But before I print them, I add a little manipulation to make it more special.
This is a software that allows you to choose from 14 visual effects to enhance your photograph. Last mother's day, I've been thinking of what gift I would give to my mom. I'm not a mama's boy if that's what you think. I just believe that it's our responsibility to make our parents happy even for a simple reason. So, I decided to give her a framed picture of our Disney Land trip when I was a little boy. Well, the picture really needs renovation. The edges are torn out and the picture itself is a bit unclear. Automatically, I thought of Adobe Photoshop as a solution.

I scanned the picture with 96 dpi (dot per inch) and I edited it with Photoshop. Here's what I did: I went to "Edit Image" tab and selected "Levels". Something would appear where you could adjust the lighting of your image. You would then see a dark-colored graphic with an adjustment tool below it. Drag the two arrows toward the graph. As simple as that, you will turn your old photo into a new one. Lastly, I printed it with my HP Photosmart printer.

 After I edited our picture, I bought a picture frame with black edges and white background. I chose black and white to make the photo more formal and because it is apt for our white wall. I gave the finished gift to my mom when she was cooking our dinner. I didn't greet her nor talked to her the whole day because I was planning to surprise her with a gift. My plan was successful because she was touched by what I did and she almost cried when she saw our picture. Thanks to photoshop, I was able to to make my mom happy.

Using vector art in your Adobe Photoshop is quite intricate, but I will simplify everything for you because this is an excellent design for web templates or graphics portfolio. In vector art, you can use any image that you want. You can also use any movie characters like the outrageous Chicken Little or Super Man. Just be sure that you won't be using them for commercial use because you will have to pay for its rights.

1) Choose any image that you like. 2) New canvas with any size of your choice, and select the color of your background. 3) Right click on your image and "Select Layer Transparency". 4) Click on Windows tab and select Channel button. 5) Fill the image with a white using the paint bucket. 6) Right click again on the image and "Deselect". 7) You can blurr the image, afterwards go to "Filters," select "Pixelate," choose "Color Halftone". Make your radius 11 pixels.  Right click on the image and "Select Layer Transparency".

Vector art is a good business investment. You can express your creativity and make new images that are good for commercial products like Coca-cola, Chocolates, or Malls. Take a picture of the product and style it vector art. You can add a simple slogan on it so to make it like an ad. This way you can collect your creations as a portfolio and present it to ad agencies. You don't know you might get a fat cash out of it.

Have you ever seen pictures that really rock the wild person in you? Well, if you have not, go to a place that has sidewalk murals. No, not those classy murals or flowery wall designs. Spot those nasty, gruesome, and seemingly unclean wall paints. More of vandalism as you call it, but it's an art for someone who did it. One design that is quite bothering is blood splatter. Adobe Photoshop created this design for all those who want attitude on images.

 What comes to your mind when you see a blood splatter? For some, like me, it's terrifying to see dripping blood. For others, on the other hand, it pleases their eyes because they feel like a gothic or dark sensation that makes them feel more alive. Blood splatter brushes are for these people who want to express their wild personality. Not all blood splatter brushes users are wild though. It's just that the design itself really has an attitude that exudes more mystery.

You can find Grayscale in the "Edit Image" tab. Select "Levels" and then "Grey Scale." The pictures will automatically lose its color (if it has) and transform the picture's look into black and white or in gray. Also, you can manually balance the level of Grayscale by selecting "Levels" from "Edit Image" tab. Select the tab "Brightness" then drag the moving object to either brighten or darken your picture.

The Great Wall of China is a fascinating and magnificent sight to behold. The wall was created to prevent barbarians and other citizens from entering the country illegally. I hope the United States will also have such a great wall. Anyway, you can also make your own great wall for your webpage by using the concrete powers of Adobe Photoshop. But remember, this is not a firewall security system that will repel virus and spyware. Your wall is simply an authentic design.

First off, create a file in RGB 57 using your Paint Tool. Go to the menu: Filter-Artistic-Sponge, then create graphic patterns to give your wall a dirty look. But please don't put too much dirt or else your wall would look like a breeding ground for bacteria. After besmirching your wall, the next step is inverting the image by pressing "Control" plus the letter "I". Your wall should now have the camouflage look. Camouflage here means a bit grayish with patches of white.

To create the brick effect for your wall, go to the image menu: Filter-Artistic-Underpainting and select brick for the texture and bottom or below right for the lighting. Press "Control" and the letter "I" to bring the wall to its normal colors. Proceed to the menu: Filter-Sharpen-Unsharp Mask to reduce the white patches on the wall. There you go, kid! I hope your wall will be as beautiful and as durable as the historic Great Wall.

 I've seen many websites in the net that use wood as their background. Most of them are web sites for furniture shops, forests, termite hunters, and illegal loggers. I find the background classy and sophisticated especially when the wooden background has a smooth and slick finish. Wood is a very indispensable element on earth, you know. Creating a wooden background is child's play. First, make a file in RGB using 200 x 200 pixels then fill the layer with Brown as your official color. Go to the image menu: Filter-Noise-Add Noise, and put 60 as the amount of your noise. Proceed to the menu Filter-Blur-Motion Blur then select 0 for the angle, and 314 for distance. Put some noise again then set the amount to 8.

Put some design on your floor to make it more realistic. Via the radial marquee tool, create an oval or round shape on your image. Go to the menu: Select-Feather then set the feather amount to 10. Proceed to Filter-Distort-wave to make your knot a bit hazy. Then go to the menu: Filter-Sharpen-Sharpen Edges to make your knot appear sharp and real, then press Control and D to deselect the image.

Today, I'm going to give you a great tip about turning your backgrounds into gold. But I prefer to give you the smoother texture rather than the rough look. To start with, we create an image in RGB with 150 by 150 pixels. We fill our background with the color white, then duplicate the layer.
Press keys "D" and "X" to set the default colors. Okay, here's what we must take note, we make sure that the color of our background upon this step is as gold as possible.

 If our background has achieved the golden brown hue, we now apply clouds on it through the image menu: Filter-Render-Clouds, then we select hard lighting on the layer menu. Go to the menu: Filter-Sharpen-Unsharp Mask with 500 in amount and 1.3 in radius to bring out some detail in the background. If we want to brighten or darken the gold background, we adjust the contrast and brightness of the layer until we achieve the perfect hue.

People hate to admit this, but it's their not so white or let say yellow teeth (Sorry, but yuck!!!) that holds them back during photo shoots. Luckily, Photoshop has the perfect solution to instantly make the teeth whiter. It's called the Dodge method. The Dodge tool is powerful enough that only three brush strokes are enough to make your teeth white (of course, only in the photo). If you aren't comfortable with this, you can try the Screen method. This tool works equally the same with the Dodge method.

 So you really don't have to brush 10 times before going to the studio. If you're embarrassed about your very yellow teeth, go ahead and give your best smile. Photoshop will do the trick. Besides, a few seconds of smiling won't kill you. Photographers are very professional and they can keep secrets. Say cheeeeezzz!
